Sunniemen Pajutila grows a wide variety of willows for garden plantings, crafts and weaving, interior decoration, and landscaping. Our aim is to promote the use of willow and other natural materials as ecological, sustainable, and Finnish materials that are suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.
We have been cultivating willows here in Pori since 1998. In addition to numerous willow varieties, our farm is home to a diverse selection of trees, shrubs and other plants that we use in our work. At Sunniemen Pajutila you can receive guidance, advice and inspiration on the many ways willow can be used.
Our activities take place at the idyllic old Viitanen garden farm on the banks of the Kokemäenjoki River. The area also includes a willow park with demonstration plantings. Visitors are welcome to stop by, ask questions and explore.
We also have a small yard sale at the farm. There are no fixed opening hours, so please call in advance to arrange your visit. Evening and weekend visits are also possible, just contact us beforehand so we know to be there. Larger groups are welcome as well, but visits, pricing and programme details must be agreed in advance with Seija.
